A Radiant Kirtland Country Club Wedding Filled with Florals

Little Surprises

Every time I photograph a Kirtland Country Club wedding, I seem to find new photo spots with every visit, like little surprises. Courtney & Rich’s wedding came with some surprises too. The surprises started with the weather. The forecast initially called for rain. In August, pop-up storms are a distinct possibility. When the day arrived, the sun was absolutely radiant. It was a warm day, but not hot, and it cooled off nicely in the evening.

The overall design of their wedding was a surprise as well. Flowers were everywhere. The bridesmaids each had a gorgeous bouquet, the gardens were flush, and flowers dripped from the wedding reception tent. Even the boutonnières were expertly crafted little flower arrangements. The best surprise of all were the vows that Courtney & Rich read aloud during the wedding ceremony. They each had little books carefully inscribed with words of love.

Meet Me At the Tenth Green

It seems no Kirtland Country Club wedding is complete without an outdoor ceremony on the tenth green. People call it the tenth green, but it’s really the tee box. The location overlooks a deep, wide valley and offers stunning views. In late afternoon the tenth green is cloaked in shade with gorgeous light all around. A ceremony at this location is always one to remember.

Little Memories

I tuck away little memories from each wedding I photograph. It could be memories of the people, the vendor team, or the schedule. Two things stick out from Courtney & Rich’s Kirtland Country Club wedding, First, I remain enamoured with the flowers. Second, was the Father-of-the-Bride’s speech.
