Familiar Unknown at The Club at Hillbrook
I’ve captured thousands of wedding photos at The Club at Hillbrook over the years. I know the property like my own home. The front door can be a little sticky in summer. The second floor squeaks when you walk down the hallway. The light in the living room always looks so pretty. I expected the familiar for Lexi & Jake’s Club at Hillbrook wedding. Instead, their wedding was like stepping gingerly into the unknown.
Some things were still familiar. The place, the people, and the emotions. “How are we going to handle the first look,” Lexi asked anxiously. “In the front courtyard,” I replied, “it always looks best”. I was trying to settle Lexi’s common wedding nerves.
It was Lexi & Jake together, and their amazing wedding design, that felt so amazingly unique. The wedding florals were unlike anything I have seen before. Flowers were dripping from the ceiling like individual rain drops. Pink and yellow dahlias were everywhere. I have never seen the match of Lexi’s wedding dress. The pleated fabric flowed with style and grace.
Subtle Emotions
I’m uncertain of how to express this next thought. Lexi & Jake together seem to express a calm, almost hidden connection. They’re not bold, boisterous, or loud. Instead their connection comes across as deep, quiet, and firm. It can be seen in a subtle look or a gentle gesture. I love the look and feeling of these calm, peaceful moments. I normally guide couples to this point, but this was normal for Lexi & Jake. I know my description here is a little weak. Hopefully you can see my intent in their Club at Hillbrook wedding photos.
Walking away from Lexi & Jake’s Club at Hillbrook wedding, I can’t help but feel their wedding is a new favorite.
