Kate & Scott’s Glidden House wedding photography ended as it began – with sparkles. The morning was filled with sparkling wine, and the evening with sparkling fireworks. In between was filled with Kate & Scott’s sparkling personalities. In all honesty, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a happier bride or groom. Kate in particular floated about the entire day, moving from family member to guest. She took time to speak with everyone, and to ensure they were having fun. It was almost if priority for the day was her guests, not herself. Her effervescent personality perfumed the day with an abundance of joy. It was a hot, verdant day. Thorncreek Winery was filled with the lush greens of summer. It was kind of day where you could feel steam rising from the grass. I don’t think Evan noticed the surroundings, much less me standing next to him. He seemed caught in anticipation’s embrace. In just a moment, Emily would appear, but not to him. She would remain hidden behind his back. They would occupy the same place and time, but not completely together. Without seeing each other, a private set of vows known only to them would be exchanged. To prevent interruption, I stood as still as could be capturing their Thorncreek Winery wedding photos. We still debate the purpose of what we call our “European Adventure.” Brooke would say the vacation was to celebrate a milestone birthday for both of us. I believe differently. Brooke had always wanted to dedicate more of our resources to travel, so we established a travel savings account. When we could save a little extra, we would add the funds to this special bank account. With time, I came to realize three things. First, my wife was approaching a certain milestone birthday. Second, she had never been to Europe, which seemed a shame.
