Wedding season in Ohio is quite different than, say, Florida or California. You would think our peak season would be June or July, but it isn’t. Instead, photographers patiently wait for October. When autumn finally arrives, the outdoor color absolutely explodes, and so does our work. Seemingly, every day is filled with family photo sessions or weddings. This year, I hotly anticipated October. Partly because of the impending color, but mostly because I would be working with some amazing clients, including Grace & Rahul.
By happenstance, I had actually met Grace & Rahul a year before their wedding at another wedding. We briefly crossed paths at a wedding rehearsal for Grace’s life-long friend, Leah. It was from that brief encounter that I was ultimately engaged to for Grace & Rahul’s Country Club Pepper Pike wedding photography. As accidental encounters go, this was definitely a happy one. When the morning of Grace & Rahul’s wedding finally arrived, I knew it would be a smashing success. We had a great plan, with great people, awesome vendors, and some stunning weather. Autumn can be chilly in Ohio, but this day was rather pleasant.
Better than the weather and scenery were the people. Grace was relaxed and ready for the wedding day to unfold. Her bridesmaids kept the entire day light and fun, especially her two sisters. Rahul and the groomsmen were simply awesome. In particular, Rahul’s Best Man gave a stunning toast, bringing all the guests to cheers (excuse the pun). Beyond the people, the wedding design was amazing as well.
Brandi from All Events Planned and Grace had pulled together a gorgeous design. Flowers were richly composed of deep autumn colors of orange, peach, red and green. I especially like the hosta leaves incorporated into Grace’s bouquet. The floral design also spilled over to the cake, which was also richly decorated with rose and lily. The gentleman wore picture-perfect tuxedos, while the ladies donned dresses just a shade off navy blue. The blue tone then carried over to the wedding stationary and print goods, such as ceremony programs and dinner menus.
By the end of the evening, the wedding had been a smashing success. It was so much fun, and I’m thrilled to have had a small part in Grace & Rahul’s wedding day. Below you can see just a small preview, mostly captured on film. I especially love how the outside portraits turned out. I certainly hope you enjoy!

What a happy occasion captured with wonderful photographs and such original flowers. While I don't know the bride and groom, they're destined to a beautiful life together.
